Hi!

I am in kinda deep water here, having no clue about how i will get the Nokia-Kernel back in my N900.
Probably not such a good idea to swap kernel when I dont know what I am doing..

I have Titans maemo34 kernel installed.

If i use the deinstall app it just says "Nokia kernel could not be installed".

Or could i just install the new Nokia PR1.2 and the problem will be solved?

Sorry if you dont understand, Im from Sweden.

Cheers

Yes, just update tomorrow and it should flash the normal kernel. Watch out when you restore your apps later, so that you don't install it again.

Thanks for the answers.

Should I do step three in the deinstallation guide also?
Or does the following fix it?

sudo gainroot
apt-get install --reinstall -y kernel kernel-flasher

apt-get remove kernel-power kernel-power-modules

When i type step 3:

flasher-3.5 -f --flash-only=kernel -R -F RX-51_2009SE_3.2010.02-8_PR_COMBINED_MR0_ARM.bin

It says

/bin/sh: flasher-3.5: not found

First install the flasher on your PC: http://tablets-dev.nokia.com/maemo-d...5.2.2_i386.deb

"step 3" is actually an alternative method which you don't need.
The most important one is step 1.
If it worked fine, you now have the Nokia kernel installed.
If have edited instructions on the wiki to make it clearer.

Dont know what went wrong but got error when trying to reinstall nokia kernel with the guide.

Problem solved with Nokias own software updater.
Just clicked in "reinstall" when it said i already had the newest one.

Checked with uname -r and got 2.6.8-omap1 as answer.

sorry if i posted this in the wrong place. the wiki should be modified to remove the "-y" as it gives an error. my guess (not a very educated guess ) is that because the x-terminal tries to get you to say yes twice. once with higher-case "Y" and another with lower-case "y"

... isn't the point of a wiki that knowledgeable users can edit as required? Please do so and help us all.
