I did set my DNS manually in Setting - Internet Connections to the once I get from my router (dns of my ISP)
And now the weather and the Application Manager are working fine.

I will do the same when I am at home to see if I get IMAP running. That would be good news after all because I bought the phone exactely for reteving mails without my computer and only at home this did not work.

For route tracing theres a cli util called "mtr" which you could use, although I forget which repo it is in - the package is called "mtr-tiny".
BTW, on linux, its the full "traceroute", not just "tracert". I've seen a package called "iputils-ping".

This is the situation now
Office
Setting the DNS manually to the same IP as my router has from ISP.
Browsing -> works fine
IMAP E-Mail -> works fine
ForecaWeather -> works fine
ApplicationManager -> works fine
At Home
Browsing -> Works fine
IMAP -> NOTHING tried all IP (Router, IP from Router, DNS IP from Office)
ForecaWeather -> Not working (wheel truning)
Application Manager -> After no updates available, wheel turns again, and application parionaly not refeshed.
Maybe my router at home is just a monday peace and needs to be replace or it just does not like my N900.

I have one big issue that seems to be provider (internet over land line) and/or a router problem. I am absolutey clueless how I could solve it

Mail IMAP
Works 2G, 2,5G, 3G and on at least 5 wireless routers I tried. But at home if I click on send & receive just simply nothing happens. No waiting weel turning - nothing at all as if the button was not pressed.
It should not be a port problem since I can get my IMAP mails with pc over Wlan and my son can get it with Samsung Jet 8000 without problem. It just seems that my router does not like the N900.

Office Wifi does not update. At least I get the truning weel indicating that it is trying to get data. But that will last 4 ever.
Over 3G no problem.

PS: Even though bug fixes are great. I am somewhat disapointed that Nokia did not seem to pick up on any of the great improvment ideas from brainstorm. Some must be easy to implement!
