The Following User Says Thank You to Marlon For This Useful Post: | ||
http://www.theinquirer.net/inquirer/...00-smartphones
Nokia sold only 100,000 N900 smartphones worldwide! I am not surprised and glad that most of the smartphones buyes are doing their homework before buying this device. Of course for these geeks that can deal with N900 and don’t care too much about the working “phone” features, as people expected, that are on par with these “Android”, “iPhone” and “Blackberry” smartphones.
For a device that was released about the same time as NexusOne, I really envy these owners of NexusOne that are “Surprised and Excited” with real major improvements. In contrast, as a N900 owner, I am feeling “Frustrated and Disappointed” even with PR1.2 release, and as a matter of fact, “Pxxxed Off”. There will be no official “MeeGo” support and there will be no “Flash 10.1” updates. Based one the volume of “N900” user base and the reputation of Nokia, I won’t expect any major improvements in the future that were released in less than 6 months. This device can’t even work with Nokia’s own “OVI” website and is “not supported”.
I would urge people feeling the pain of using “N900” to post reviews on major retailers’ websites to mention the real “Facts” about this phone and let users decide whether this phone is for them or not. I’ve been played with Linux since this long 0.9x beta kernel released in 1993. I can deal with N900 but I simply cannot bear with it.
