Hello there!

I've updated my US N900 with the global firmware (since I live in Brazil, I thought this firmware would be more suited for me). But now the Ovi Store is not working, tells me to update my device using the App Manager. Is this happening because of the global firmware? I'm about to reflash it with the US firmware, but I prefer not to pass through the hassle of downloading and reinstalling all the apps again if I don't have to, or if it won't fix anything.

So any idea of what's happening?

I had the same problem. I had to disable Hide User Agent in Settings and it started working.

I have the same problem - but I don't have Hide User Agent.

I can browse the Ovi store, but "Preparing for installation, please wait" stops around half way.

I can di & install fine from maemo.org & extras & devel - just not ovi.

The most annoying part is I uninstalled Angry Birds & Bounce to be able to upgrade to 1.2 OTA, now these are the only things I can't re-install.

I really don't think you should be worried about the Ovi store when Nokia are sitting on their backsides regarding the upgrade to that anyway.

Did that work for you?

I flashed my N900 again with a different image and still I can't get into Ovi Store. I don't have agent or any software loaded either.

It is working now for me after I removed the Custom User Agent. Many thanks Descalzo.

This is what I keep getting:

"Unable to download 'offscr-airport'.
Application package not found."

I have no "User Agents"

I think I need to make a new Application catalogue with the proper addresses / settings for Ovi, Nokia Applications and Nokia System Software Updates, as these are the three catalogues that do not update.
