Hi guys, what kind of cases are good for protecting the phone. If it falls and so on? What can you guys recommend. I haven't seen any reviews for cases online. Just videos showing the case. I have no idea how useful they are and how strong they are.

You want a case, not something like invisible shield?

I can at least recommend invisible shield. Downsides being price and putting it to N900.

Search for the screen protector/case thread.

I'm very happy with the Otterbox case.

i think the silicone cases are best for drops but i have seen them on the N900 and they look loose and funny. i wanted something more rigid but thats just me.

I give a thumbs-down to the PDAir rubberized hard case. Mine didn't even last a month before the part covering the front bezel started flapping because one of the tabs holding it onto the device wore off.

+1 for Otterbox. Probably the best of those that don't add (too much) bulk (unlike leather or metal cases).

I got a PDAir leather case with belt clip, seems fine. I clip it to my shorts for jogging. I'm a bit worried how well it will hold up over time. You have to take it out of the case to use it.

I also use a screen protector, forget the brand. Bought one, no multipack. Kind of expensive. It does its job.

On the screen protection front try an N900 specific invisi-shield @ around £15. It gets the thumbs up from here.

Make sure you apply carefully & debris free as per the instructions though as there's only one protector in the packet.

If however you buy their universal protector there's two in the packet so one balls up when applying it aint a big deal. Saying that you'll need to make screen template and cut the protector to suit.

Which silicone case? You know a model number? Or are you talking about the Otterbox as well?

@all: Thanks so far. The Otterbox is a tad pricey though.
