hi only one side of my earphones works... i have tested many earphones which work but only one side works on the n900.... please help... thanks saq

the left hand side works... i have cheked the headphones on other devices and they both work there...

just got a new n900... but only one ear plug works.... tested the original headset on another device and both sides were working but on my n900 onlyone side works...please help anyone!

What are you listening to on the phone? Are you sure it's not mono?
Is the cord securely and fully pushed into the jack?
Are you saying that you've tested multiple sets of headphones with the phone?

Yes, but did you say that you've tried different sets of headphones with the phone, or have you only tested the one pair?
If you play those same mp3s on another device, do they play in stereo?
Could be a bad connection at the headphone jack.

Try playing the Nokia video, that has audio and will play both sides of your headphones this will prove if its a connection problem or your mp3 files are have a channel missing.
