Hello Just having some issues using apt-get update... As of current i cannot seem to refresh any lists and not sure as to why, just so you know this is my current Fremantle /etc/apt/sources.list file... This problem is occuring for Armel and X86 Freemantle... So i figure the solution to one may very well be the solution to both.

Anway here is the file
Code:
[sbox-FREMANTLE_X86: ~] > cat /etc/apt/sources.list
deb http://repository.maemo.org/ fremantle/sdk free non-free
deb-src http://repository.maemo.org/ fremantle/sdk free
deb http://repository.maemo.org/ fremantle/tools free non-free
deb-src http://repository.maemo.org/ fremantle/tools free
deb http://repository.maemo.org/ fremantle/<xxx-code-xx> nokia-binaries
deb http://repository.maemo.org/ fremantle/tools free non-free
deb http://repository.maemo.org/extras-devel/ fremantle free non-free

I read a few other threads which seem to pose similar problems and they are suggestive towards DNS issues - i have followed the advice posted within them to no avail and subsequently have no choice other than to reach out for some help

Anway - apt-get update results in the following output

Code:
[sbox-FREMANTLE_X86: ~] > apt-get update
Err http://repository.maemo.org fremantle/sdk Release.gpg
  Temporary failure resolving 'repository.maemo.org'
Err http://repository.maemo.org fremantle/tools Release.gpg

Err http://repository.maemo.org fremantle/<xxx-code-xx> Release.gpg
  Temporary failure resolving 'repository.maemo.org'
Err http://repository.maemo.org fremantle Release.gpg

W: You may want to run apt-get update to correct these problems

So i do as asked repeatedly with no change in output...

I edited /etc/resolve.conf and removed any reference to
Code:
nameserver 127.0.0.1
Changed
Code:
[sbox-FREMANTLE_X86: /etc] > cat resolv.conf
nameserver 127.0.0.1
[sbox-FREMANTLE_X86: /etc] > nano resolv.conf

[sbox-FREMANTLE_X86: /etc] > cat resolv.conf
nameserver 216.52.1.33
nameserver 156.154.70.22
nameserver 69.111.95.106
[sbox-FREMANTLE_X86: /etc] >

Setting it to some custom nameservers and that seems to be working for now. I am just wondering what has caused this as it seems to timeout regularly and i am not sure why...

Is this something to do with scratchbox or is it concerning my network connections.

Exit scratchbox, and check /scratchbox/etc/resolv.conf too. That was my problem.
