I don't know if anyone has posted this bit you can export facebook events to the local n900 calendar. All you he to do is dowload the .ice file from facebook and open with the n900 calendar

Hi!

Strange that this thread seemed to go so unnoticed.

I found this thread as I searched for an app that would do this exact same thing. Could it be possible for some dev to include this feature into a pre-existing app perhaps?

I thought of this after noticing that the Samsung Wave has this feature.

Edit: Could someone provide some more in-depth instructions as how to copy the .ice file from Facebook? And how do you then open files with the calendar?

Click "Export Event"
That downloads the .ice file. You can save that in documents or wherever
Go to the downloaded file location and click the file.

Thanks!

But this of course means that it doesn't automatically update the file? Meaning that I only get events up to that point but anything that's planned after my download doesn't appear?

I just did that and it doesn't seem to have pulled any Facebook events from the Google calendar, only my stuff. Seems likely that gcal doesn't export/sync any 'external' calendars you're following - only events you've created for your personal calendar(s). If anyone finds a solution, I'd love to know.

i think more people should see this thread, this would be one awesome feature if we could some how make the n900 calendar update everytime we click on "assisting" to some facebook event, and show it, without the need on exporting it and opening one by one, also could show the birthdays of your facebook friends and stuff....
