Hi Folks,

I have updated my N800 to the new Firmware and noticed a very good video performance.

Still I have an unsolved proplem playing rm audio streams directly from the browser as appears in e.g. Amazon.

The Media Player shows up the "Real Screen" and then quits with the message "format not supported".
Are there any tricks you doing?

Further, the format x-audio-mp3 links always will be opened with the MaemoRecorder not with the media Player. Which of the files do I have to modyfy via shell to make this work correctly?

Thanks in advance,

JCB

Media player doesn't support smil files ...
But you can open them and feed media player with the url inside ...
I know it's no good and don't understand why smil are not supported (they're just proxy xml files ...

@fredoll
Thanks Fred.

STRANGE BEHAVIOUR: I went to amazon.de and saved the file to disk as default.ram. Then I open it with Media Player and it works. After that I can directly click all songs in Amazon and it plays perfectly.

Strange.

Anyway thanks for the hint.

BR,

Jens
