ok, so theres loads of posts on here "which is better, n900 or iphone 4". what i want to know is, whos actually going to go out on thursday and buy one??

ill get things started,

I am going to buy one. I love my N900 but i just miss some key features of the iPhone, namely google maps and the ipod interface (i love the genius feature for the gym). i think ive given nokia a fair chance to keep up / catch up with the competition. in all honestly the reason ive loved this phone is down to the hard work you guys have put in creating some of the amazing sotware in the repositories!!

Not for a month I would say but I will get one. It will go down as a classic iteration of the iphone series (and phones generally of course).

Not me. The last Apple product I had was Apple ][c and that's how it's going to stay.

never.
if i wanted a toy id buy it but i need a real powerful device. the hardware is impressive on the new apple device but the restrictive OS they slap on pushes me away each time.

just remember next summer ul see the iphone 4S.

well i dont really need any apps, im more into modding the phone which is why i bought the n900, but nokia should be trying to keep other users happy by spending money on making good apps, as for the iphone4 the OS is too boring for me if its anything like the 3gs, but the design is very sexy!
shame theres no keyboard though, thats a must have to me,
its just i think why enter a long contract or pay a big lump of cash for one when nokia will kill it anyway with their meego devices later this year!

Its unlikely to within the one year lifetime of the iphone 4.

already sold N900 and waiting for iPhone 4 on Thursday. Don't like restrictive OS but the lack of Apps on Nokia, poor hardware (N97 and N900 USB socket), lack of voice Nav, MMS, OVI Suite (beta) etc etc have pushed me away.

Call me a troll if you will but there we go - do I have faith in Nokia coming out with a cracking Meego device with 200,000 Apps - no, I don't.
