Yep. Its been mentioned here.

Despite everything I consider it vaporware until it comes out.

And sure you have full apps but there is a market for mobile software ala Android and iphone.

And what's that with the penguin with scarfs there? Does it support GNU/Linux?

Yeah, I've seen it. I'd rather buy a Viliv N5 or something like that.

Yeah, I have the 32gb Flash 3G S5 and you can use it as a pocket phone, call and text etc. You can swap batteries to make it through a day.

N5 wouldn't really work as well as its clamshell.

Yeah, I guess. A N5 in tablet form would be perfect. Like a Kohjinsha SX3 but in a smaller form factor(and obviously updated hardware). That XPPhone looks almost like the N900, except with a bigger screen(and obvious hardware differences).

EDIT: The Viliv S7 looks nice

Its too big for any pockets! Too much frame/bezel. I did like it though - its a thin convertible. It has 10 hour battery life or something crazy!

I had the OQO before this and I have to say it was looking like my perfect device would come a lot sooner at the time.

The Samsung QU1P is thumboard, 8 hr battery I hear, 7" and can be modded to be a phone. But its too heavy, expensive and barely pocketable.

I'd carry it in a bag any way, my pockets are already pretty much used up. Hopefully the Viliv N5 will be out soon, too bad it's screen doesn't swivel as you already pointed out. Also I don't get why no-one seems to put in backlightning in the keyboard, that would make them even more usable.

EDIT: Or I guess I can get myself a cheap EEE PC 701 and mod it - sure it won't be pocketable but considering you can get used ones cheap I don't really care...

Wish the would have made a EEE PC 501
