literally and figuratively. when I click the screen I hear a little "squeak" on the bottom left...such as when using mappings near the bottom of the screen using xterm. so I popped off the back cover and I see that I only have 4 little screws where it looks like there should be 6. I am hoping to disassemble the unit to the point of getting the sliding screen part off to check it's status (i figure if the creak is from something not tight or missing it will be in that area....but before I delve in further can anyone confirm that on initially popping the back cover, there should be 6 screws not 4? the 2 that appear missing are the ones on the bottom meaning right below the slot for the sd card and across from it meaning below the sim card.

btw the creak is not caused by the entire top base holding the screen creaking down on the main phone part, it is definitely from the screen itself and only happens on the bottom left...thanks for listening...

to shorten this ... could someone pop their back cover off and see if there are 6 or 4 screws visible?

thanks I am assuming (hopefully correctly) that what look like 2 holes then are really 2 different screws...

2 torx, 4 phillips. That's 3 different screw configs.

That's how you know it's handmade.

2 torx, 4 philips on mine.

it's a brave bloke who chooses to take his phone apart. kinda guessing that'll screw the warranty there and then.

rather than taking your toolkit to the phone yourself, why not contact nokia or your service provider and take it up with them.
