Just spotted this articule:
http://www.pocketables.net/2010/06/n...take-over.html

Stating that Nokia N8 will be the last Symbian phone, then Nokia gone be moving all new phones over to meego...

Looks to me if this is true that there are not more excuses for top applications not to be ported to meego...

Its more concerned with how much retailers have dropped the price of the N900, im guessing this is because of low sales....

the good news, AFAIC, is that while more applications are developed for Meego, they can run in n900 without heavy modifications while Qt versions keep in sync

There are lot of phones worse than N900, but, selling better. I believe its Nokia's marketing that let N900 down. Nokia doesn't even act like it is committed to N900. Miscommunication to the markets, may be?

Apple advertised their crappy video call feature like a miracle? Can't remember when Nokia did that. N900 Skype Video call should have been a huge marketing point...

Well, the skype video calls need to work properly first.

I´ve made 6 attempts and only gotten it to work properly once.

Apple made it work well between the new Iphone 4´s, Nokia made it sort of work between N900´s and PC´s.

Also high return rates, since most people that buy the N900, logically think it is a smart phone at the OS integration level of Symbian or Android.

The N900 is mainly a geek device and geeks are not the majority.
