Hey, I just got a N900 today. I downloaded the updates today also. The phone is amazing....BUT I cannot get the email to work for the life of me. I have a gmail account, and there shouldn't be a problem because gmail worked on my previous phone. It keeps saying incorrect user name or password, and I have tried to correct this a million times to no avail. PLEASE HELP!

N900 tends to capitalize the first letter of password. Check that first.

On the subject of gmail, has anyone had the recent problem of emails not being sent via Nokia Messenger? I have been using Nokia Messenger's push service for two gmail accounts for quite some time now. However, about a week ago, I realized that emails I send from my phone are never delivered. They do not even appear in the sent folder of my gmail accounts when logged in a browser--but they do appear in the sent folder of my phone.

That would be because you sent them from your phone not the browser. There is mention of a feature enhancement regarding this, it may have made it to a formal bug sheet, maybe worth searching and subscribing if of interest.

Thank you, I will look into it. Previous to this problem, the sent emails would appear when logged in via a browser, though they would be labeled as "sent" and not necessarily in the sent folder. I just confirmed again that I can receive but not send emails. I also tested my Yahoo! account and it has the same problem, so it is not unique to gmail. Deleting and marking emails as read sync perfectly with both services, but sent emails become lost ghosts never to be delivered. I never had this problem until recently, so I am just going to remove then reconfigure my push accounts.
