Is there a limit on the size of icons you can use on the desktop? If I try to use icons more than 64x64 size, they get cropped on the sides when used as shortcut on the desktop.

Is there a workaround to have app icons of say 96x96 size on desktop? e.g. In the screenshot attached, the email icon actual size is 96x96. However, when I use is on the desktop, it gets cropped automatically - doesn't matter which icon size folder I use it in.

I think there is a limit on the size, check the size on some of the default icons. I guess you could make a bigger icon by turning it into a widget that launches the app, and the widget itself would only be a shortcut..

I wish I could help more, but sadly I'm more of an end user
