Silly question, but who still has the N900 in an actual store and turned on that you can play with? The only place I've found is Fry's, and all their phones are off.

I'd actually like to see how good the phone touchpad and OS is before putting down $400 online.

Seems silly, but I was at an AT&T store and playing with a smartphone and the interface and touchscreen feedback was god awful.

Why don't you ask in store to test drive one. For the sake of losing a $400 sale why wouldn't they let you?

Clearly, neilosleeman1979 has never been to a Fry's Electronics.
Mind you--I love Fry's, but not for their salesmanship/knowledge.

Probably doesn't help you, but I was in the Saturn on Alexanderplatz in Berlin today, and they had a N900 sitting right out there to play with.

Unless you are a developer, would not recommend this phone. If you use your finger nail, the touch screen is totally awesome.
