Hi.

I dont know if this is a bug or a feature, but on my baby(n900) when in gallery looking at a pic in full screen, you can actually rotate the phone in any direction and the pic will turn(if that makes sense), so if i turn my phone, while in fullscreen mode, so the nokia logo was facing down it will turn the pic upright so i can see it in landscape, or if i turn it in portrait mode but the nokia logo was on the left, the pic will turn too.

Does this happen to anyone else's?

I apologise if this already a topic, if not , thought i should mention it.

Thanks.

It's a feature, working as intended.

its a feature with bugs. hold the phone upside down to view an image and notice the poor transition between photos when you swipe between them.

love you nokia.

Very, very annoying useless feature. I was recently trying to show and explain some detail within an image to a colleague who I was facing. Landscape was critical in this discourse. And everytime I twisted my arm to show the example - the image flipped into portrait making the excercise futile and somewhat embarrassing. I had to re-save the image in the opposite orientation to get my point across. Duh...

it can be annoying at times, but at least i see what they try to do here.

nokia always thinks in "one size fits all" categories and will never learn that people need a "preferences" dialogue in applications so they can toggle such things on/off.

btw, there's a brainstorm somewhere about making the n900 a better image viewer. one solution there proposes to use a full-blown desktop image viewer. i'm still waiting for gifted coders to port one.

Yeah, something like Shotwell would be pretty sweet if someone would port it.

It's a GTK app that Distributions have been putting in to replace F-Spot which requires Mono.
