Hello, I live in the uae, where virtually every download sites are blocked. I need a file off 4shared.com. This site also is blocked. Any ideas on using a proxy to download the file?
Also, if someone can help download the file and upload it to rapidshare/megaupload(and send me the link) etc. please send me a pm.Its a 11MB rar file.

right, i wish there was a browser on N900 that bypasses the proxy. much like skyfire and opera mini on symbian phones.

i got a program called tor for n900.
i think its in testing or dev repository

If sending/receiving email isn't blocked, you may be able to use Flexamail to access the webpage and retrieve the file.

I would poit you to a vpn provider. If you don't know about it read wikipedia or something else. There are solid vpn-apps for n900 so use those and you can quite safely use the internets unrestricted.

Install Opera Mobile 10 on your N900 and enable its turbo mode. You will probably be able to bypass your proxy that way:
