After turning my n900 in for repair (2 bright dots on the screen) i got a brand new one from nokia. Only problem now is that i put back the backup and now when i open a received or sended sms the conversation is blank. i also can open the internet browser but it cant load any pages. downloading and installing apps from the repository works fine. this problem occurs on both wifi and gprs.

Does anyone know how to fix this? did i install a corrupted backup?

for a complete noob like me, it sounds like a corrupted backup....but then if it's corrupted wouldn't your music files and pictures be affected as well?

I hope someone more experienced helps you out sygys !!!

Did you install the same firmware on the new one as on the old one?

do you think backup's file of another phone can install on other's one?
