Ripped the ribbon cable while trying to fix the headset port. If anyone has a screen that works laying around, I'd love to take it off your hands. Could be from a bricked device, or a dead device, as long as the screen is in working condition.

Nowadays is quite difficult or expensive to find.
The part number is 4850991, so you can try to google for "nokia 4850991".
There was an ebay seller a while ago that had one for a good price, unfortunately I don't remember the seller but I do remember it's not available anymore.

Hell, they were hard to find even when the N800 was new and in production. Finding a replacement screen was one of the FIRST things that started me down the long, ugly and frustrated spiral down Nokia's incredibly appalling customer support (rather, complete lack thereof) route.

Good luck. You'll need it. Welcome to Nokia.

Well, I am now realizing how incredibly right you are. I found one for $190. But I think I'm going to save and get a new n900 instead. Unfortunately now I've broken both an n810 and an n800. In the same way too.

The ribbon cable on the screen is incredibly fragile.

So... you're going to repeat the same mistake of giving money to Nokia for a product they don't support, even when they're the CURRENT product? :P

Well, as stupid as it sounds, yes. I guess that's a compliment to how great maemo is.
