Not when it's potentially one of the last remaining Symbian^3 phones and Symbian^4 is nearby with no explicit update path.

But all-in-all, this is a feature phone that brings a lot to the table. It'll sell millions.

Nokia has stated that they will be shipping 50 million Symbian^3 devices. That means that E and X series will be getting it next.

That's not the N9. It's more likely to the E7 since the specs are slightly lower than the N8 and similar to the C7 which also runs Symbian^3 http://chinese.engadget.com/2010/07/...-c7-hk-leaked/

yes its a prototype(n9 or c9)....and yes it's symbian....but if you read the report also you will see that it states the n8 is the last symbian.

The report is based on anti-Symbian FUD or pure ignorance if it says it will be the last Symbian phone. What Nokia have said is that the N8 will be the last N-series Symbian^3 device. I would go on what Nokia said over what a blog says. http://conversations.nokia.com/2010/...bian3-devices/

Nokia have also stated that a Symbian^4 N-series device next year is also a strong possibility. http://conversations.nokia.com/2010/...ck-starts-now/
