Hey, lately my battery life has sucked, im luckyy to get 12 hours at it, with average usage throughout the day.

I have a feeling some of my apps running in the background could be whats killing it so much, and making ui laggy too. when i had skype enabled (with its 10 skyhost processes) really made it slow, and often unusable.

heres the process list sorted by process id:

heres it is again, but sorted by memory usage:

so can anyone have a look through these to see if theres anything there, that shouldnt be, or anything thats eating up my resources.

Thanks,
~mc_teo

With everything on and using the phone heavily throughout the day, Im lucky to get 8 hours (which Im well happy with, considering its completely replaced carrying a lappy arround). This is fairly normal battery drain, it really depends what you are using/doing thoughout the day. For eg, in offline mode (radios off), I get days of battery life. Another thing which Ive found heavily affects battery drain is proximity to cell towers and wifi access points. Low signal strength will increase battery drain, as the radio transmits at higher power levels to maintain communications.

Short battery life and slow phone might be caused by some process taking too much CPU. Try writing "top" to X Terminal and then see if theres something that uses a lot of it constantly.
