I have tried to optify the package through maemo-optify-deb - it's here: http://www.debernardis.it/downloads/...fied_armel.deb
Of course it should be properly optified through the building engine - which is out of my skills - but maybe it can be useful for you to go on in your project

Optified it, it's in extras-devel.
I'm developing an image processing app that uses ImageMagick toolset (http://maemo.org/packages/view/imagemagick/).
But the package currently available in repositories is not optified (taking up about 10MB on rootfs). Can anyone build and upload an optified version?
