i frequently use the free sms service provided on http://www.kostenlose-kreditkarte.de/ which allows sending of 30 free sms per receiving number per month (in germany). i therefore wrote a simple greasemonkey script which optimizes the interface for microb, including easy selection of eight favorite numbers without having to copy and paste the numbers from contacts. when visiting http://www.kostenlose-kreditkarte.de/ the script automatically redirects to the sms screen.



installation is pretty simple. download the zip file and extract to n900. the download link is at the bottom of the page under Last downloaded: click here. copy the file button_bg.gif some place you like and change the string pfad_zu_button_bg.gif in freesms_user.js to that file's path.

now copy freesms_user.js and config.xml to /home/user/.mozilla/microb/gm_scripts/freesms using xterm. in microb (with greasemonkey installed from repositories) go to addons and add the user script. this part is a bit tricky as the ui of the greasemonkey addon is not suited for the n900, but by switching between portrait and landscape mode in microb this can be done.
