Dear All,
I was trying to reflashing my N900 with the latest update.
I started with the firmware and I did good. when I finished the firmware, The welcome screen appeared. I didn't touch the mobile and immediately i started flashing the EMMC. But this one didn't succeed. it stopped and nothing happened.
please refer to the attached photos shown that the fiasco is done successfully but the EMMC isn't.
Please advice.
Regards,
Ali

Did you flash rootfs with -R switch and after then tried to flash EMMC. If so then read maemo wiki flash guide again.

mmmm I did and I found this:
Run the following command (TIP: Do not include '-R' if you are flashing EMMC as well, see below):

flasher-3.5.exe -F RX-51_2009SE_2.2009.51-1_PR_COMBINED_MR0_ARM.bin -f -R.
is this the problem?

Heh, How should I say it?

Letīs say that:
Do not use '-R' if you are flashing EMMC as well

Also what OS you are running? (if win then 32/64-bit? What Service pack?)

Don't worry. I used to have exactly the same problem.... And the solution can be found if you lookup the device manager... The eMMC requires to flash N900 in PC Suite Mode (Wierd but true). So how can this be achieved??? Simply install nokia PC Suite on your machine.

Also note that the flashing of eMMC's requirement states not to use the -R switch as -R immediately makes it to turn on the phone.

In case your OS is Windows 7 64bit, Then install the XP Mode for Windows 7 and flash from within.

Best of luck...

Flash FIASCO image without -R switch
Flash eMMC

Make sure Nokia PC Suite is installed... It needs some drivers from there to flash the eMMC.
