There is a major thing i dont like with the USB:
When you want to turn off Mass Storage mode, you have to physically unplug it from USB and plug it back in.
The deal about switching to MS cant be a hardware limitation, as it obviously does it all by software.
So, anyone knows a lil' snippet to do this?
I'd like to make a launcher for it so that i can do it easily between my PC and N900.

Sorry, i dont know much about Maemo (yet)...

I wonder about it, too.

There are some scripts doing it:
/usr/sbin/osso-usb-mass-storage-disable.sh
/usr/sbin/osso-usb-mass-storage-enable.sh
/usr/sbin/osso-usb-mass-storage-is-used.sh

Anyone has any idea to disable the popup that forces you to choose pc-suite/mass storage? I would like it to go to charging by default and let me choose one of the two only when I need it (which is easy using the osso-usb-mass-storage-* and pcsuite-* scripts)

If you're using Windows, just left-click on the 'safely remove hardware and ejectmedia' icon in the task bar and select 'Eject n900'. I think a similar device is used in Linux too.

Hope this helps.
