Having looked through all the Apps available in the Maemo repositories, I think ( - unless I've missed something) that we have a distinct lack of financial market apps. Many of us have mutual funds or stocks that we like to follow, and it would be nice to have a desktop widget that simply follows certain specified mutual funds, stocks (without setting up a Google Finance account), bonds, or exchange rates. Obviously an integrated graphics tool would be even better.

Maybe an extension to this could be a stock, mutual fund, or exchange rate lookup widget so you could just put in the ticker for a certain stock, mutual fund or exchange rate and instantly get pricing, graphical info etc.

Anyways, if this is already available please let me know and if not, hopefully a developer will see this as a possible app for development.
