I have never gotten comfortable/proficient the swiping movement or the thumbs-at-the-edges-and-release dance. There must be others who find it clumsy also.
Something like various Linux distro's Workspace Selectors on the desktop would be much more effective for those of us who get poor results from the swiping/thumbs desktop change methods.
