or just remove it and configuration files and re-install and -configure?
(little too easy for a thief also)

Can anyone tell me how to remove the configuration files? I removed it and the N900 still send messages when ever I reboot it. tried to uninstall SYSCON but no use.

I assume you mean that the removal completed successfully, it is not anymore in the installed applications list and you are still receiving sms from smscon?
what is the output of the following?
