hello all,

Wierd problem developed in last day or two.

Basically if I open browser and go to facebook it used to keep me logged in. However now everytime i go to url even though it remembers my username and password i have to press login. Ticking the "keep me logged in option has no effect either.

Thought it might be facebook so just tested with this site. Launched browser, went to maemo talk, logged in, closed browser, relaunched, back to maemo talk and sure enough not logged in anymore.

Anyone got any ideas?

Cheers

Dean

I had the same problem and nothing I did made any difference. Since I was planning a reflash (first since december) I did that and all is well.

Surely there has to be a way of fixing things in maemo without having to reflash everytime?

Sounds like a cookie problem. Mine works, so it's not a FB issue.

Clear your cookies, clear cache, reboot, try again.

Well, the idea behind the auto-logon is cookies. It's definitely a cookie issue. Perhaps if you looked up where cookies are stored (and cache) and clear manually?

IIRC it's a mozilla scented thing so, I'm guessing cookies.sqlite?

~/.mozilla/firefox/[username].default/cookies.sqlite ?

ETA: a thought occurs. If you logged in from another locatiion and cleared the remember box, FB will say that "FB will not remeber your login" or something to that effect and not rember you, presumably by not issuing you a cookie.

If you are using Firefox on your PC and don't have issue on it with logging, you can copy PC's cookies.sqilte into N900 (location /home/user/.mozilla/microb/).
On my N900 I'm using key3.db, signons.sqlite and cookies.sqilte from my PC and this way I have the same passwords and cookie settings on both, which is really great.

Also PC's Firefox enables you to remove individual cookies, passwords etc.
