on screen keyboard is not like the 1.2 update. There were separate letters as a physical keyboard. Now the 2 numbers below the ABC and the 3 over the EDF. I want the old one back, or how to set up what should I do it? Thank you in advance for your help

dude wtf are you on about? I read your post 10times and still have no idea what you are on about. On Screen keyboard? you mean Virtual Keyboard right?

PR1.2 and PR1.3 virtual keyboard is the same one. There is no change to it. PR1.1.1 is different from PR1.2.

Might as well post your screenshots because seriously your wording in explaining suck. There are a lot of virtual keyboard thread and please use the power search or google it.

Well maxximuscool, at least he could explain what his problem was (I had no trouble to translate "on screen keyboard" to "virtual keyboard") without being dramatic, or using foul language.

He even said thank you

arvadormi, could you make a screenshot and post it here? That would help us grasp the problem and find a lead to fix it.

Thank you!

Well if he post the screenshots along with his question then it would make it much easier for me to answered his question. I am quite angry when people keep posting thread of virtual keyboard problems.

How many virtual keyboard issues do we have to encounter until Mod finally make a sticky topic? I just want him to use the power search to find the solution and if he can't find it then the problem is a new thing.

Anyway his problem is he installed the custom version of T9 OnScreen Keyboard from extra-devel.

Don't install things from extra-devel if you not sure and prepared to fix your own device.

I'll search for the app and posting screenshot soon.

Okay do this. It may fixes your problems.

Open up xterminal:
root
apt-get update
apt-get -f install

this will go through and look for any broken packages and updating it to the current package of anything related to hildon-desktop. I am assuming Virtual keyboard is part of hildon-desktop.

Update:
look for these apps in the screenshot below in your App uninstall area. remove them and reboot the device.

If no changed is made then open Xterminal and type:

root
apt-get remove ukeyboard
aptfget install ukeyboard
reboot

done.

Last resort is to Reflash your device because I don't have a clue what you installed on it lol.

Good luck and god speed.

Current ukeyboard version:

Nokia-N900:~# dpkg -l|grep ukey

This problem any keyboard softwer installed my phone.

Just so longas.

I made a backup before the update and then back on everything so I did not understand the problem.
