guys i am in so need of an application locker with the help of which i can lock some specific applications using password and/or an app with which i can hide a few conversations from the inbox..

Conversations is a closed application, the best you could do is intercept the incoming SMS and store it in a different database with a separate application application to display those particular messages.
I don't recall the names off the top of my head, but there are one or two applications that allow you to restrict startup of various programs - on the N900 though, these are trivially circumvented.

i made something that locks the messaging app a while ago, its in the mods thread somewhere,
but i think theres a better app called 'app locker' somewhere too
