Probably the coolest laptop or tablet ever, or whatever you categorize it as. They call it an Inspiron Duo. The thing will start 550 dollars, which is perfectly fair considering the HP Slate 500 800 dollars.
Specs:
Operating System: Windows 7 Home Premium
Processor: 1.6ghz Dual Core Intel Atom n550
Ram: 2gb
GPU: Broadcom Crystal HD
Storage: 250gb
Screen: 10.1inch 1366x768 Capacitive Touch screen
The most interesting part is the screen flips and becomes a tablet or flips back and becomes a netbook awesome. This thing will probably be available December. What do you guys think. Another example of true uniqueness from Dell.

I completely agree. Also this blows away the specs of most netbooks and packs a unique design and touchscreen to.

It's €599 on pre-order in Finland right now. It's arriving here on the 17th. I'll wait until it gets closer to €450 before buying though.

Seems like you Europeans always get the short end of the pole when it comes to pricing.

I've read in some other reviews that the Duo battery life is around 4 hours and is not user replaceable. Furthermore I haven't seen anything regarding 3/4G support. Someone correct me if I'm wrong otherwise I'm not entirely impressed. I'm more impressed with the Lenovo S10-3t at this point.

I guarantee you Apple is already working on a way to copy this.

This would work *really* well with Ubuntu....

I hear that the Unity interface has an improved touch interface which would likely make it a more usable candidate than Win7.

Yes, yes, this is precisely what I was thinking of. I recall seeing this quite a few weeks ago.
