As far as I know, from reading previous discussions on this issue, it isn't possible to rename an account, so you should just create a new account with the new username.
There doesn't seem to be a user-accessible way to delete an account either, but if you ask a forum administrator, they may be able to delete your old account. One way to get their attention is to use the Report Post button in this very thread.

I put my email id as user name since it is easy for me to remember. I assumed that I will be given a choice to pick up a nickname for the forums here.
Can someone tell me what will be the easiest way to change the user name so that the email doesnt appear in forum discussion? Alternately, is there a way i can delete this account. Will register a new one then in a propper manner.
