all of a sudden when i changed batteries the N900 wont start, it is just out of warranty.. like yesterday. Now when I put in a fresh battery all i get is a red light (constant) in the LED indicator. Any ideas? Besides getting a new phone?

I would still call the CS and see if they are generous enough, if you do not want to spend some more cash.

PS: Tried to reflash yet? Firmware and EMMC?

I use macbook too after you download the flasher 3.5 use this command in your terminal:
use this for the firmware
Code:
sudo /usr/bin/flasher-3.5 -F <firmware-image> -f
use this right after the firmware flash
Code:
sudo /usr/bin/flasher-3.5 -F <EMMC-image> -f -R
