I love my N900 for what it can do, and haven't had too many complaints as long as it functions properly. But the latest Maemo update (along with every other) has brought its own problems, and this time it costs me precious batter life.
I tried two programs that I had not. Since I had activated a twitter account, I tried the ovi twitter widget, Witter and then Ktweuter to see which one suits me best. I liked none of them and uninstalled them all. But since then, my N900 connects to whatever internet connection is available every 20 minutes or so. This puts a serious strain on my battery and I need to stop it ASAP. I don't keep my internet on all day because I need it to last the entire day. I connect when I need to, then I get off.
Any suggestions?
