it was posted on TMO first, there was a thread with the vid, as well as some of e-yes twitter posts floating around just before Nitdroid 0.0.9 was released. My question is why it took this long for engadget to get the story, since they are usually frothing at the mouth when it comes to new android info/updates.

damn it got taken down.
if it is real, itd probably be at 1 or 2 frames per second which is highly unusable and useless.
someone managed to get mac os x but it ran at 2 fps.

do u mean windows 7 or windows phone 7?

don't think win 7 runs on our n900s, i've seen some vids purporting to show this , but they're just fakes using remote remote desktop viewers.

I'll make it nice and easy!

Code:
root
cd /home/user/MyDocs

bzip2 -d gingerbread.tar.bz2
mount /dev/mmcblk1p2 /and
cd /and
rm -rf * (this removes all the files from the old installation)
tar xvf /home/user/MyDocs/gingerbread.tar

cd /home/user/MyDocs

dpkg -i nitdroid-kernel-2.6.28-06_final1_armel.deb
This works.
All works. Apply the patches using the same method as installing gingerbread (.tar blah blah).

I have no issues.
