I did it much more simply by using the Xterm to copy the file to the mmc card, then editing the file on the PC using TextPad, then copying the file back to the opera directory.

There are obviously a lot of websites providing content specifially formatted for PDAs and other small devices.
IMHO, these lean pages are very useful on our favourite toy, too. They often need less scrolling, and are mostly not that banner-loaded as the 'real' pages -- less stuff, less memory.
I was pointed there by German mag, so most of their samples were German sites, but for a try, go to
http://www.google.com/pda, search for something and see, that Google knows about your limited hardware.
