Every unwanted picture in my phone is in photos. All my stupid album art is in photos. I have recently installed appmefo and all the icons are there. Even irreco remote buttons are also in the photos. I have more than 1000 pics in the photos and the pictures I need are only 100-120.
It is bugging me. Can anyone please help me out???

make a folder called "Private" in MyDocs. all the photos you put inside there will not be seen by the photos app.

Does this work?

-In gallery press 'All Images' at top of screen.

-select filter by... - default camera folder or which ever folder you saved your images in.

Is there another way to make the Photos app go to the "Default Camera Folder" by default?

It's kind of irritating really, when you want to go there and see your taken photos, but unless you change the folder, you have to see all the other stupid stuff as well, background images, album arts, screen shots.

I also think that the Photos app has to waste time and phone resource to search all over the phone for images you don't want to see. If you could just default it to go directly to where you want to, it will be much more responsive.

I already post this request to Nokia when they gather opinion on Ovi Suite Beta 3.0 because the stupid thing keeps sync all images in the phone to the computer, leaving me the only choice to stop automatic sync and use the favorite "copy and paste" old friend. Don't think Nokia can hear me though

You can do that with background images but does it work with album arts and screen shots?

It only opens the filtered pics. But when I go back it again shows all images.

I had the same problem. I ended up deleting all my jpg/png (folder.jpg mostly) from the music album folders. The images used as album cover in ID3 tags are actually hidden in the album folder. You only need to keep them. So now I only see the pics from the camera in the photo viewer, AND the album art is still there in media player.

All other junk in the photo viewer like wallpapers etc, I disabled in the tracker so that it does not appear in the photos. This thread has details on how disable tracking for a folder.

The easiest way of doing this takes some time but i had the same issue as you and did the following for album art. In your music files there are the photos, but under each album should also be '.mediaartlocal' or something similar, it has a '.' at the start. Just move the art to that folder and it won't find it - the '.' makes it private.
