From time to time, minor glitches from various sources cause widgets to disappear. I know this doesn't only happen to me. This makes it a hassle to reinstate each widget individually. Luckily, Maemo remembers locations MOST times. However this doesnt take into account application shortcuts, bookmarks and contact shortcuts. There are situations where this could be convenient to have backed up. The total layout. So I was thinking, is there some way to back this up. Also is there a way to make sure it includes up to 9 desktops (for multi-desktop compatibility?
Desktop Activity Manager (actman) never worked for me and last time i even attempted to run it, it removed all but my original 4 desktops.
so yeah...maybe theres even some command line script i can use but a nice front end to really back up the entire desktop layout would be very nice...similar concept as actman i suppose but more utilitarian. Perhaps even an upgrade to the actman app?
Hope I don't seem silly for bringing this up
