Obviously not a bug of any sorts, but is there any way to change how the maemo boards are displayed on my device?

The bar to the right with the control panel and recent threads etc overlaps the central column. This doesn't happen in threads so it's not a big problem but for instance when I view my subscription list, the last few letters of long thread names are covered by the menu bar to the right.
