Is there a reason the command-line flasher won't work on Win2k? There wouldn't be any harm in trying, otherwise you can download a Linux distro (e.g. Ubuntu) and flash when running from CD/USB, if you want to run a linux distro from a USB drive I recommend unetbootin for loading it onto the USB drive (and it can download the distro as well if you want it to).
