First, I want to tell, I'm not perfect in english, please forgive me this.

I bought a Nokia 770, ~4 years ago. I didn't used it in the last 2 years, but last week I found it and I started to think.

I know It's old, slow, but I love(d) it and I think it's better now to use, because 4 years later, there are many wifi hotspots. (in Hungary too)

I'm sure, should be a way to make this device faster, usable.
I mean... a device like runs Chromium OS.

Just a browser. (and of course with a connection manager, at most: with file manager or pdf reader, but I only use it for browsing)

So I roughly know what i want, I want to castrate my device's os.
(now, I running os2007HE on it)

Can I build a custom, lighter OS (with faster boot)? (from the original .bin file?)
I mean:
-remove needless (for me) applications, functions, etc.
-runs the web browser (& the connection manager) automatic after booting. (or bolder: without the general system)
-change/remove the boot splash screen/handshaking video
-change the theme

'Would not be bad: tabbed browsing.

How can I do that? What route I should start?
(I know, I should learn programming... but without it?)

Last question: What do you think, it's a good idea, or something stupidity?
