Hello.
Around once a week I find hildon-desktop utilize 5-10% CPU for no perticuly reson.
Normaly hildon-desktop only utilizes 0.33% CPU according to Conky.

I have tryed to find out what makes this happen.
Sofar most of the times preenv is cursing hildon-desktop to eat CPU, but not all the time.
And sometimes I check CPU utilize on hildon-desktop when I go to bed and when I get up in the morning hildon-desktop have sometime started to utilize 5-10% CPU during the night.

This ofc eats battery.

Any idea what it could be?

Im running Power-Kernel.

Please post the output of powertop and top from a fresh reboot with no connections currently running. Then we can diagnose the problem.

Show us the result of maemo-list-user-packages may be we could figure what's going wrong.

I have installed BoostN900 some time ago, but I have after that updated pewer-kernel.
Could it be that?
I have regretted that I did run the BoostN900 script since I didnt notice any bigger difference in performance.

Sorry I dont realy trust thoes "magic" scripts that is circle around on TMO.
I what to understand what every setting I configure does. I just doesnt feel comfortable with a script that edit a bunch off critical settings and I have no idea where to look when things later might go wrong.
As I think BoostN900 script is the curse of the problem I got now.

Really? Name calling just because some guy doesn't want to install some system configuration scripts that you've posted without first fully understanding everything that it does?

I think that level of caution is to be encouraged of device owners as it would certainly reduce the number of threads associated with bricking one's device.

BTW, when a user asks for help with a Maemo problem and you respond with no insights other then orders to download your scripts and donate money to you for the privilege that makes YOU look like the a ****
