I am trying to create a desktop widget. I have installed Qt SDK 1.1 with the simulator.
But the examples I have found are for creating apps rather than a desktop widget.

Can I use Qt creator and simulator for PyQt programming or only C++?

What is the Target UID3?

As from the start of the n900 i wanted to build onw apps and wanted to know how i get things done. but for some reason no one is willing to help. Its more like "find it out yourself, NOOB!"

I would really love to make some apps. but i dont have time to spend hours only to add a button. i would like to see good tutorials. how to make a widget wich contacts php files from my webserver that sends back info from a database to the widget.

For example a widget where people can see how many posts there are on my forum that they have not read. or maybe direct news of the n900.

All this can be done, but cant be found anywhere on this website...

The tutorials that I have found are for desktop widgets and not for interactive home screen widgets.
