hi to all !
I want to install easy debian and all goes fine, image is downloaded 100% no errors but when it starts extracting the image, after a period of time it reboots without any notification and i am unable to use easy debian because it is not installed.....I was trying to reinstall after deleted the files from "mydocs" but the same problem.
Does anybody have the same problem? Or do someone know how to fix this?

Try downloading and extracting the image on your PC, then copy the uncompressed image to your phone. This way the phones CPU won't be busy for a long time which leads to sudden reboots afaik.

It's a bug in maemo's I/O system.
If you reboot the N900 and then apply the tweaks from the "Massive I/O improvement" thread and then run the debian image install, it will unpack fine and in 5min (@1GHz). After that disable the tweaks by rebooting again.

Hi everybody,
I had the same issue reported by Scooty. I noticed that after the restart my memory is "more used: than before even after I delete the compressed image file and the partial unpacked image.
Does anybody know where that usage is coming from? Maybe some tmp file? Frozen process???
The usage stays the same even after reboot.
Memory usage via control panel gives 4.4 GB for stored user files while du in my home directory is around 2 GB (it goes to 4 only counting everything in / and also my SD card of 1.7).
I am a little bit lost, so any idea is welcome.
Thanks
