Help me with this
I have N900 and i am syrian
but nokia still blocking its sites and ovi sites for syrian net browsers
why
80% of syrian people have nokia mobile phones

so now i can update or instal any software from the most repos

should i have to use proxy to get access to nokia repos?
is it right for nokia to block this repos for syrian?

please i am asking for solution to this problem
nokia should support nokia holders not block them
any way since i`ve heart about meego project an i am trying to develop some programmable bugs and trying to be developer in maemo.org
but in this siteuation i dont think i can make any progress in this step.

no, nobody can access the repos from a web browser, you can only access tthem via the application maanger.

The 403 error is shown in the app manager
I now that this repos can not be acces from the browser
But the app manager in N900 is showing that faild to update nokia repos
And in another point ovi site is blocked
You can not download any app from ovi if you are in syria
So why???

i had connection problems yesterday as well! the appmanager told me that several repos were not available.

today, it worked again.

Try these Mirror repositories
if they didnt work then you cant do anything, trust me

Maverick, dont forget to take into account any local restrictions, telecoms etc.... they may be blocking them....

Unfortunatley sometimes sites do get blocked by ISP's providers etc.

If ovi is blocked, try it on a pc, and if you can use the same internet connection you should be able to rule out if it is your phone (Ie, use the same wireless connection - if it works on pc but not phone, then most likely your phone has a problem, if they both work, then it sounds like the 3g part uis being blocked etc)

no my brother this repositories are not working never and block
and maybe if we use a proxy so might we can update them

my brother when our repo are working you can download anything from ovi repo and from ovi site but you must to use tor or its name the onion router program from extras devel so we must to wait to find a proxy and if i find it i will give you on private
