N900 and maemo 5 are already a bit old, don't you think?
In a market like ours, why would a program like this revive our device?
it would never hit more sales than many others.
Also, what company wouldn't like to have their programs or games, or whatever on another Os, AND without the need to put people on it's
ports, or on troubleshoot?
I highly doubt that was ever true...

Try out the Maemo port of gpSP, give feedback, help us develop it more!

Having had a foot in both camps, and lately especially solidly in the Android side of the threshold... first: if the N900 and Maemo 5 are already a bit old, what's better to breathe a little life back in than the ability to run even more apps? second: why would the Android side want to prevent Maemo from running Android apps? Doesn't Blackberry's Playbook do this already? If anything, Nokia might not like it because it provides a competitive platform that has the opportunity to take away market share from the Ovi Store and weakens its ability to sell native apps to Maemo--which, near as I can tell, might be just the kick-in-the-pants Ovi and Nokia needed so that they know they need to ACTUALLY step up the value of their products.

If it's true--I, for one, think it's great for Maemo, competition and cross-platform. If it's not--then I think it'll be a shame.
