I have seen some of the instructions but for some reason, i just can't understand. I only have the 64 mb card right now cause I just got it in the mail today. Is it possible to install 2007 HE with just the stock card? If so, is there a "how to install 2007 HE for dummies" edition? cause i need one.

the reason i need 2007 HE is because I want to run my streaming quotes during the day on this thing and i need to run the latest java. will i be able to do this?

http://maemo.org/community/wiki/howto/ and follow either the how to flash using Linux or Mac depending on which OS you have, for general flashing instructions, and obviously change according to whatever is specific to the OS 2007 HE instructions you already have.

There's a windows flasher out there. However the linux flashers are much more robust (from what I understand) and can be ran from live CDs.

First, get your N770 fully charged. Backup yll the data you need!

Then download the 2007 HE here!

Get the Nokia Update Wizard from your countries Nokia page!

Shut down your N770! Connect it to your WinXP PC via USB cable. Press the "home" button on your N770, keep it pressed, then turn on you N770 with the power on/off key. A USB symbol will light up in the upper right corner of your display! Release the home button.

Start the wizard, chose the hacker edition.bin file you just downloaded and hit upgrade!

You´re done then!

thank you very much. now i have a question, is it possible to do this on the 64 mb card? cause i can not download it to the 770 because the file is too large. If so, i will just have to wait till i get my 2 gig card

i have tried to turn it off. hook the usb cord up, then hold down home and turn it on. but when i do that, it doesn't show the usb is connect and there isn't anywhere to choose the file from?

You don't need to copy it to the card or choose the file on the 770. The flashing program on your pc will copy the new data to the firmware on the 770. You could probly leave the card out and it would still work.

The rs-mmc card has nothing to do with it. I have the same 64mb one and I flashed my 770 just a couple days ago. But I used the Linux flash program. Don't know how the Windows one works.
