Man, that has been parsed over and over again to the point the news doesn't make sense.

There is nothing revolutionizing there.

https://meego.com/sites/all/files/me...update_0.5.pdf

Go to LG's slides

You see there that they've been prototyping MeeGo work on top of existing devices. Which makes a lot of sense, as to learn about the platform.

What they'll show, probably, is MeeGo on top of already announced devices. Probably originally running Android or something.

i think this is great news if its true, because as always nokia is a year behind when it comes to cpu, rams and all that ****, so the nokia meego device will probably run on a 1 ghz arm A8, but on the other hand, lg is already in the dual core business, so the lg meego device wil lrun on a tegra dual core with 1 gbs or ram , win win win ! (where's Charlie sheen ?? lol )

I doubt anything will happen. LG has always liked to show protos that never come true. Remember the very first MeeGo phone ever seen? They also had moblin phone.

Though LG is desparate as not even Android is working for them so who knows.

Clever move by LG if they do release a Meego phone later this year, particularly a dual core one, as they have let Nokia do all the ground work in getting it working on an handset/ARM chip.

It will probably be a better long term purchase than the N950 to replace our N900's as I fear there will be little support developing the OS by Nokia once the device is finally released.

I did not say anything about their phones being bad or good. Just that the Android side haven't done them much good.

And honestly while LG Android phones are nice i would pick Samsungs equivalent, like most others seem to do as well.
